Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) helps individuals develop essential life skills, including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making. These skills are crucial for managing emotions, forming positive relationships, and making thoughtful choices. For students with disabilities, SEL is especially valuable in transition planning, helping them stay calm in stressful situations, advocate for their needs, and make informed decisions.
