Training
We all know that transition is an ongoing process, not just a single paragraph or a checklist in an Individualized Education Program. As our students move from middle to high school and beyond, it is helpful to keep abreast of practices and mandates for the transition process. The goal of the CTI’s training is to provide teachers, professionals, families and students the knowledge and skills they need to help youth reach their goals for the future.
In this section you will find information on CTI webcasts and courses. In addition, you will also discover information on trainings around Virginia that promote innovative practices to improve transition outcomes and hence the lives of youth with disabilities. All CTI training activities are free and available online. All activities listed on this page are web-based and you must have the technical requirements to participate.
“Be curious always! For knowledge will not acquire you: you must acquire it.” –Dr. Sudie E. Back, Ph.D.
