Despite decades of research showing that individuals with IDD can achieve positive work outcomes in CIE through integrated service models like supported employment and customized employment, many youth and adults continue to receive services in segregated models. This trend persists despite evidence that segregated services do not serve as a pathway to CIE and are more costly than more effective integrated models. This webinar will discuss what the research evidence shows us about the benefits of integrated vocational services compared to segregated services at promoting various work outcomes for individuals with IDD.
